Malpas Parish Council considers all planning applications submitted to the Cheshire West and Chester Council's Planning Authority from within the Parish against our Neighbourhood Plan in a timely manner. Applications are discussed by the full Parish Council at their regular monthly business meetings.Residents have an opportunity to share their views at these meetings.
Following the meeting, a report is sent to Planning Authority.
Malpas Parish Council does not approve or refuse planning applications, it simply produces report which consists of local observations of the potential impact of the proposed development on neighbours and the wider community. However, on occasions, the report is accompanied by a recommendation to approve or refuse the application.
These reports are forwarded to the Planning Authority, who when making a decision to refuse or approve the application will consider all comments submitted.
Comments can be classed as "material or non-material considerations".
Only comments that are classed as "material" will be taken in to consideration when decisions are made.
